FBG ST-DENIS APARTMENT
Noelia and Burke, a New York-based couple, purchased their family apartment in the heart of Paris. Located on the noble floor of a classic Haussmannian building, this 135 m² space closely resembles Noelia’s childhood home. Although it hadn’t been renovated in years, the apartment retains beautiful original features: herringbone parquet floors, four stunning marble fireplaces, and ornamental moldings.
The project became a true collaboration between Noelia and Thomas, driven by their shared aesthetic vision and aligned tastes, particularly a passion for vintage pieces, Asian influences, and understated elegance.
The main challenge was to preserve the traditional Haussmannian codes while giving the apartment a unique soul, steering away from typical renovations.
The design emphasizes deep tones—grays, browns, and aubergines—reflecting Noelia’s artistic work. The overall atmosphere is chic and timeless, avoiding fleeting trends.
The entrance gallery, wrapped in rich dark brown tones and featuring aged stone cabochon flooring, sets the stage for the contrasts throughout the apartment.
The bright living and dining rooms provide a serene balance, while the kitchen artfully combines materials—checkered stone floors, deep aubergine lacquer, gray marble, and brass detailing—creating an elegant yet grounded space.
In the bathrooms, the interplay of stone and off-white ceramics adds calm, while the dark wood closets, finished with mirrors or straw, offer functional refinement.
This results in a family apartment with discreet sophistication, approached delicately with French, Italian, and Asian influences.
