BRAQUE APARTMENT

BRAQUE APARTMENT

Located in the heart of Paris’s 7th arrondissement, just steps from the Musée d’Orsay, L’Opale Noire is a 30-room boutique hotel set within a former residential building on the Left Bank.

Designed by Thomas Fournier, the project draws direct inspiration from the stone after which it is named (the black opal), mineral and mysterious, renowned for its shifting reflections, depth, and magnetism.

This symbolism is expressed through a chiaroscuro atmosphere, where plays of light reveal rich, sensual materials. In the guestrooms, wall draperies crafted from Italian Arjumands fabrics envelop the spaces in a soft, intimate elegance, while the reception and restaurant are adorned with Fortuny silks, bringing a timeless and refined dimension.

A nocturnal palette, deep textures, and precious details come together to create a quiet luxury (both distinctly Parisian and dreamlike).

L’Opale Noire thus reveals itself as a confidential jewel box, where past and present engage in dialogue through a singular, sensory experience of the Parisian art of living.
